AUGUST 2018: WITCH SPEAK
Hello my darlings,
Over the past month have you found yourself second, third, and fourth guessing your actions/process? Are you inadvertently beating yourself to a pulp with all your questions, with your desire to know what’s wrong with you, and why can’t you change? Does it feel like the same old, same old, only on steroids and you will never be free? Are you saying to yourself, I thought I was done with this issue? Repeat after me, it’s the moon, it’s the eclipse, and this jangling discomfort is going to pass.
What’s in the jangling discomfort is a hard push from the universe to destroy what’s framing the narrative. Think of the narrative as the story you are living. The frame is what holds the narrative in place; it’s fixed, it contains, it’s the lens through which we see and judge our story. If you’re driving yourself nuts with the questions in the first paragraph then your lens, your frame for your life, no longer holds. And yeah, it’s scary as shit. It’s like standing on a small island in the middle of the sea and the water is slowly but surely washing away the sand. You think you need a boat but what you really need is self-love. The ocean is love and love is courage. Dive in and sure as gravity a dolphin will come to your aid. Visualize her; feel her, feel the water. Hold onto your dolphin and she will swim you to the most wonderful island that is in no danger of being washed away. Drink in the beauty of the island. This is your beauty; this is what your self-love looks like. This is the source of your new frame.
To frame one’s life through self-love is a harsh and sharp change. I’d love to tell you it’s a gentle, growing experience but it’s more like what the fuck is going on. You don’t know yet how framing your life through self-love is going to change you, or even what your life is going to look like. For me, that can be a really fearful experience. I have found the following exercise works really well for fear, insecurity, anxiety, any of those kinds of feelings.
First I write down what I’m afraid of and I really feel that fear. Then I ask myself, “Do you hold true that the Goddess is stronger than this fear?” Well, sometimes that’s incredibly hard to get to. I remember once the fear was so bad, all I could think was I want Her to be; I really, really do. But there was this part of me that just couldn’t get there. I started going over in my head all the times I’d experienced grace, and undeniable miracles. I thought about what Goddess was to me. Nature in all her glory; sunrise, sunset, night skies, the tides, gravity, until I could finally say in all honesty, “Yes, the Goddess is stronger than this fear.” When I spoke those words, I could see and feel how hooked into the fear I was, which surprised me. My hands looked like hooks, hooked into a miasma of ugly. I sat with that a moment before asking the Goddess to lift the fear and I followed my request with, “I release this fear and ask it to release me. I felt it go, it was like being gutted, but it didn’t hurt. It was so profound though, that I couldn’t stop crying. The exercise was an act of self-love, accepting me in my totality, my feelings, all of them, so I could heal. P.S. This is a great exercise to do with a trusted friend. Either she can take you through the questions or you can take her.
Healing is about uncovering the divinity within. Healing is about removing the obstacles to one’s divinity. And that, my darlings, is the thrust of the full moon lunar eclipse. The energy is breaking down, eclipsing out, the barriers to your intrinsic divinity. Your frame is too small for the sacred being you are, and are becoming, ergo you will experience roller coaster like shifts and changes in patterns of behavior, thought, and feeling. Know you are on your way to understanding that human and divine are not separate; one without the other is imbalanced. A word of caution: words are biting right now and Mercury is going retrograde. Hold your tongue, count to ten. This is not the time for deep and meaningful conversations. Wait till Wednesday of next week.
Live loud, love fierce, and suffer no fools. Kat x0x0x0
