WITCH SPEAK: SEPTEMBER, 2018
Hello my darlings,
It's cool out today, for the first time in I can’t remember how long. The air is crisp on my cheeks and the clouds, long in the sky, turn the light soft and muted. Fall and fall into winter are my favorite months of the year and all I want to do is lie on my purple zero gravity chaise, alongside the brook in Bovina, and soak it all in. I absorb air, life, sensation, all life itself, through my entire body and nothing resonates more with me than this time of year.
I am very attached these days to what man and his kind didn’t create. He didn’t create the seasons, the seas, the prairies, or the mountains. He didn’t create the sun, the moon, the stars, and the planets. He didn’t create birth, death, or the life cycle. He didn’t create a body that breathes and a heart that beats.
Each of us contains the miracle of all that man and his kind did not create. Close your eyes and feel it. You contain the energy of earth, sea, and sky; sun, moon, and stars. I call this energy Goddess, I call this energy God.
The next time you’re facing crap, you-absolutely-100%-don’t-want-to-deal- with, try saying: “I activate the Goddess within.” She’s your wonder woman; she’s your super hero. No one watches a movie enchanted with the perky, positive character. Our attention is drawn to the woman facing conflict; the woman whose humanity shows in her face; her ups, her down, her in-betweens. Of course we’re going to root for the woman with challenges. We know her; we know those challenges, and we love her best when she quits being “good,” when she quits being “reasonable,” and fights back.
What I am suggesting this September is that you think about starring in your own movie. When something sucks, try saying, “Today our heroine is facing ___. How will she deal with it? Enquiring minds want to know.” Not only will you give yourself a giggle, this will free you to respond in ways that are true to you. You. The energy of earth, sea, and sky. The energy of sun, moon, and stars. The heart that beats and the lungs that breath. The miracle that man and his kind did not create. Goddess.
Live loud, love fierce, and suffer no fools. Kat x0x0x0x0
