New Moon and the Age of Aquarius 5/21/20

New moon tomorrow, 5/22/20, 1:39 pm. EST in Gemini. Dark dark moon today, 5/21/20, tides way low. 22 is a master builder number, everything is retrograde, Mercury, Saturn, Venus. An overall desire to have fun, to play, to make light; yet, a serious undertow of the desire to build, to create something new, something extraordinary. Old expectations, old judgments of self loosen like snake skin. Once upon a time I told a friend that I felt like I was beating my head against a wall. So stop, he said, which was mind bending, because it never occurred to me that I could stop beating my head against the wall. I am thinking of the time I told my therapist, Wise Joe, that someone had hurt my feelings. He said, so don't let them. Hand to God, I felt like my head was going to explode.

With this new moon, there is a budding and undeniable awareness that you don't have to stay in futile battles, and you don't have to let others hurt you, over and over. Futile battles are battles that you can’t possibly win. Expecting someone to understand your why, your reasons, can be a futile battle. Letting someone hurt you over and over again is learned behavior. There is nothing natural or organic or noble about it. To break the patterns, hold the question of how, don’t attach to finding an answer, and live happily for the next three months in the process of not knowing. Willingness is involved. Think conception, to conceive, think seed, seeding. Think fun surprises, an unexpected gift, the sweet blossoming.

The Age of Aquarius is in full swing. The Age of Aquarius has nothing to do with peace, love, and hippie beads. This is a gross misrepresentation. Peace, love, and hippie beads are Pisean. Pisces is a water sign. Aquarius is an air sign. The Aquarian Age is about systems; collective systems, organizing systems, detachment, and electricity. The machine. A foundation built on logic and pragmatism. I do not want to see a world built on the foundation of cold, hard, logic. I want a world build on a foundation of love with cold, hard logic as one of the nails.

We live in a world where human beings are on their knees to the economy; an economy created by man for men, while shooting skeet and eating roast duck. (I kid you not) The overwhelming control economics exerts over life and living is a given in all of our lives. For over 40 years, I’ve been told that the solutions to the issues that the planet and humanity face, lie in market driven solutions, which is utter bullshit. Now, I am being told that technology, not the economic markets, can solve the world’s problems. Again, utter bullshit. Technology is every bit as market driven as the current economy and I don’t imagine for one red hot minute it will be used to serve the needs of humanity and the planet. 5G? Seriously? We all live in a microwave machine, a microwave machine, a microwave machine.

Technology is a remarkable tool for connecting and connection, but its real power is in controlling the narrative and influencing the masses. Controlling the masses is the end goal of technology and its leaders. Happy to be a beta, Brave New World, that kind of thing and if you don’t know what that means look it up. Aquarian traits include actively hating being told what to do and rebellion against anyone and anything that restricts them. The response during the Piscean Age was “it’s cool man,” hippie-ish stuff. I’m not saying there wasn’t anger, think anti-war marches but that anger is nothing like the anger we’re going to see in the Aquarian Age. The anger we’re witnessing now, the rage, is violent and it’s going to get worse. Martial law and an increasing totalitarianism will be the result.

Keeping in mind the center no longer holds, people are scared out of their minds and trying to impose the old ways, the old systems, on the resulting chaos. Ergo the mass acceptance of Qanon, the white enraged AK 47 carrier, and little dick militias. The other side of the Aquarian Age, the light side, has to do with a brand new archetype forming: namely life artists. Creators and co-creators dedicated to scraping away the layers of being and uncovering the humane, the intrinsic embodied divine. A new age of enlightenment – humanity and planet first. The life artist recognizes he/she/they are the canvas, and his/her/their life is the paint. The life artist recognizes that his/her/their creations are not static; they are ever moving, evolving. Creation has its seasons.

The life artist understands the power of co-creation, and the intrinsic divine that is the tribe of humanity, together as One, embodied. Becoming each other’s guardian angels. In the midst of all of this, pragmatic idealism, great good humor, right use of judgment will kill off toxic non-judgment. All for one and one for all? No. That’s not happening. The divisions between people will continue to grow. The times they are demanding. Life artists will offer another way to live without broadcasting it. This is not about brands or branding, thank God.

Best of new moon y’all, pour vinegar down the drains and spritz your front door with rosewater. Everything’s retrograde so trying to speed up this, that, and the other thing up is futile. Cinnamon toast calls.
